A documentary about the American rock band The Doors constructed in chronological order. The Doors formed in Los Angeles in 1965 and went on to become one of the most successful bands of all time and gained a cult following that is very much alive today. In the film, we see the early days of The Doors with a focus on the bands front man, Jim Morrison, from their first Gigs until they split up due to Jim’s untimely death through alcohol and drug abuse.
The Doors are more than just a band with songs and to many people, they are a symbol of that moment in time, after writing songs such as “The Unknown Soldier” which is about the Vietnam War. The documentary uses archive footage, much of which has not been seen for years to construct a story behind the legendary group.
