World War II Behind Closed Doors: Stalin, the Nazis and the West, a six-part documentary narrated by British actor Samuel West which looks into the Soviet-German relations around the time of World War 2.

The film, which was created by historian Laurence Rees and writer Andrew Williams focuses specifically on the role Joseph Stalin played before during and after World War 2. Each episode is the result of extensive research through controversial material that was only made available after the collapse of the Soviet Union. As well as being narrative-led the documentary series also features a number of dramatic reenactments of events based on the elucidated documents.

If you found this documentary interesting tryout "Communism: The Promise and the Reality", a film that looks into the rise of communism and provides an excellent backdrop to the evidence presented here.
