Cherry Bomb, a documentary directed by Mikey Alfred about the creation the third studio album by American rapper Tyler, the Creator “Cherry Bomb” which was released in 2015. The film, distributed by Illegal Civ Cinema chronicles Tyler as he writes and records the album as well as featuring live performances and appearances from Lil Wayne, Frank Ocean, Kanye West and other artists.
The documentary was first screened in January 2017, two years after the album was launched and shows the painstaking production of the songs, especially “Run” from his home studio in Los Angles, California with Toro y Moi's Chaz Bundick.
