Every year hundreds of people set off from a starting point in the United Kingdom and embark on an insane trip to Mongolia on an adventure which has been described as the greatest in the world. Each team purchases a ridiculously crap car with a maximum 1200cc engine and must make it to Mongolia with absolutely no support other than from strangers that they may meet on the way, depending on which route they choose the journey will be between 8000 and 12000 miles long. They have to dodge robbery attempts, corrupt police officers, and avoid death (does happen).
The Road To Mongolia is a 50-minute long documentary which follows a team of three, the CPR Quarterhorse team, as they drive a 1.2 litre Vauxhall Corsa from the North East of England to Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia (in 2013 we think?). The team captured 900 GB of video footage on a GoPro camera as they travelled 8,000 miles through 13 countries in 27 days. The footage then took 18 months to edit into this documentary.
