The 2008 Garbage Island documentary was created by Thomas Morton for Viceland and is about an enormous pile of garbage floating in the Pacific ocean.
It's hard to imagine an island of garbage the size of Texas just out there in the middle of the ocean, which is why the team at Vice had to go an see it for themselves. The junk consists of pretty much any non-biodegradable materials you could possibly imagine (though predominantly plastic) from plastic bags to lost fishing nets to toys and reveals the shocking amount of pollution we have created.
