For the first time ever a film crew is given full behind the scenes access to one of the most exclusive holiday destinations in the world, the private Necker Island which belongs to British billionaire Richard Branson. This 2015 BBC programme gives an in-depth insight into how the super rich and super famous holiday, and what the island is like for the staff who are paid to cater for their needs.
The price of a stay on Necker Island is up to £40,000 per night and around 100 staff cater for a maximum of 28 guests at any given time. The island serves the purpose of being both the primary residence of Richard Branson and his family as well as a destination for some of the worlds most demanding guests. Some of the worlds most powerful people have visited the island, former guests have included Nelson Mandela, Princess Diana, and various celebrity guests including Harry Styles.
