It is widely believed the first sex manual was the Indian “Kama Sutra” composed between 400 BCE and 200 CE however, research has uncovered the "Turin Papyrus”, a manual which precedes this by more than 2000 years making it the oldest set of instructions on erotica ever discovered.

Sex in the Ancient World: Egyptian Erotica” explores the origins of the symbols to build a picture of sex in ancient Egypt. The hieroglyphs are graphic in nature and more than likely represent the sexual activity of Pharaoh Ramses 2nd and his many wives though this theory is still up for debate.

To investigate this ancient Egypt sex documentary the crew went to Luxor, Deir el-Medina and Cairo to film the sex symbols the on walls of their moments and use CGI to re-create other erotic hieroglyphs.
