Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father, a 2008 biographical crime documentary created single-handedly by American filmmaker Kurt Kuenne.
The film is a story about Andrew Bagby, a childhood friend of Kuenne's who was murdered in 2001. The main suspect was Bagby's ex-girlfriend Shirley Jane Turner who fled to St. John's, Newfoundland after finding out that police wanted to speak with her in connection with the murder. Shortly after she was arrested, Turner announced she was pregnant with Bagby's child, a boy she named Zachary.
The original purpose of the documentary was to tell Zachary about the father he never knew and was meant to be a private movie. But a shocking and tragic turn of events changed the purpose of the documentary and it was then released to the public.
