The 2016 HyperNormalisation documentary examines how we have arrived at our great equilibrium of uncertainty and confusion in our lives. Popularists have seized control, and there seems to be disruption all around the world from the Syrian War, the never-ending migrant crisis, even Brexit.

This documentary which was directed by Adam Curtis who made the award-winning “The Power of Nightmares: The Rise of the Politics of Fear”, tells the story of how we reached these strange days. In a world which is ruled by chaos, even liberalism is fueling the fire due to a lack of understanding.

"HyperNormalisation" shows the symptoms of experts journalists and politicians simplifying the world and the general population following their lead over the course of decades. People have retreated into a fake version of the world, and now the rath of this delusion has come back with a mighty vengeance. Is there light at the end of the tunnel?
