The Union: The Business Behind Getting High, a debut documentary by Canadian filmmaker Brett Harvey about the growth, sale and trafficking of Cannabis.
The film primarily focuses on the illegal trade between British Columbia and the United States. The money to be made from shipping Cannabis into the US is enormous and as a result, large, powerful gangs have formed that ship out tones of the stuff on a regular basis.
As well as examining the trafficking of Cannabis, "The Union: The Business Behind Getting High" also embarks on a generalised discussion about it. Much of the points raised are continued in Brett's next documentary "The Culture High" made seven years later.
