The Thin Blue Line, a 1988 biographical crime documentary by Errol Morris about Randall Dale Adams who was wrongfully convicted of the murder of police officer Robert W. Wood in 1976.
It wasn't until 1989 that Morris was proven to innocent and released from prison. For more than 10 years he lived on the infamous death row in a Texan jail with an utterly bleak situation. It wasn't David Ray Harris, who was also incarcerated for the same murder made a confession that Adams was not even in the stolen car when the murder took place.
Another misfortune for Adams is that he did not get any compensation for false imprisonment. If he had been convicted under modern laws he would have been paid $960,000, $80,000 for each year.
Watch The Thin Blue Line find out how all of this happened.
