The Story Of Nirvana documentary. Nirvana was one of the most influential rock bands of all time and changed the music landscape forever. Formed in Washington in 1987, the trio was made up of guitar and singer Kurt Cobain, Bass player Krist Novoselic and drummer Chad Channing, though he would soon be replaced by Dave Grohl. The band’s debut album “Bleach” was released in 1989 and never really gained much mainstream attention though it remains a favourite of some fans. The Album Nirvana is easily most well-known for is “Nevermind”, which was released in 1991 becoming a success over-night. It featured some of their most recognisable songs such as “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, “Come as You Are”,  “Lithium” and put grunge into the mainstream.

Nirvana would only ever release one more album “In Utero” in 1993, which was no way near as successful as “Nevermind” however it did contain a couple of their most famous songs; “Heart Shaped Box” and “Rape Me”. Nirvana split up in 1994 after the untimely death of frontman Kurt Cobain from a suspected drug overdose. In the years to come to Nirvana gained a massive cult following and to this day they are one of the most popular rock bands in the world.
