Developing new aeronautical technologies which will help the aviation industry move away from fossil fuels has led engineers and scientists to build the Solar Impulse 2 and embark on "The Impossible Flight".
In March 2015 this aircraft made the first completely solar-powered journey around the world. It was the culmination of 12 years worth of research and development which has pushed the boundaries of renewable technologies, and opened up new avenues in the development planes which put very little pollution into the atmosphere.
The Impossible Flight documentary follows, Bertrand Piccard and Andre Borschberg the two pilots who made this historic journey. It also shows how the team made the Solar Impulse 2 from scratch and thought of ingenious solutions to new problems.
