The hunt for artificial intelligence is on. BBC Horizon investigates how close the human race is to making true AI. Every year computing power is almost doubling and we are now at the stage where a computer can match the power of the human brain. However, intelligence is not measured on calculating power alone and this is the strange world that Marcus Du Sautoy takes us into as he investigates the way in which robotics is shaping.
In the documentary, we see robots which are being trained to show the traits of fear and robots which are learning their own unique “robot” language which can then be taught to other robots. The future of AI seems very interesting and will no doubt grow in complexity exponentially over time.
