Call of Duty is a first person shooter series historically produced by game developers, Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer games. This game franchise helped bring to light the new non-linear style of playing that has become so popular that today it is what a gamer expects from a game. Call of Duty was orginally PC only when its first launched in October 2003 under the title “Call of Duty” but since then versions of the game have been put onto more than 10 consoles and handheld devices from the Nokia N-guage to the Xbox-One.
Call of Duty has to be one of the most popular first person shooter games of all time. As a result the game is constantly evolving from one release to the next as the game developers constantly push the bounders for what is possible.
