One of the worst disasters in modern maritime history. The Concordia was a cruise ship which was operated by the Italian company Costa, built in Italy in 2004 the ship ran world cruises for holidaymakers until 2012 when it sunk off the coast of Isola del Giglio. Much controversy has surrounded the incident with most it focused on the ship captain, who partied that fateful night and fled the scene of the accident.

ok so Captain Francesco Schettino got 16 years in prison for the deaths of 32 passengers... but surely there were many ships officers on the bridge watching over a miriad of electronic navigation devices...so what about those people?
