Stephen: The Murder that Changed a Nation, a new 2018 documentary examining the murder of Stephen Lawrence by filmmakers Asif Kapadia and James Gay-Rees, and directed by James Rogan.

The murder of Stephen Lawrence remains one of the most notorious in British history, for not only was he killed just for being black, it took decades to bring those responsible to justice. 5 people were originally arrested on suspicion of murder but later released, it wasn't until 2012 that two men were found guilty and finally Stephens parents could feel that some kind of justice had been served.

The killing received media coverage in massive proportions and sparked a cultural shift in the attitude towards racism, especially in the police force. A leading aspect which the documentary explores.

The "Stephen: The Murder that Changed a Nation" documentary will be split into three sections and run from Tuesday 16th April through Thursday 19th April on BBC One, at 9 pm. Certainly worth a watch.
