Millions of more people are expected to be living there year-on-year, which could make it the biggest city in the world, for it is already the second largest by population after Chongqing, also in China. When you compare Shanghai to a large city in the west, say, Chicago with a population of around 3 million it gives you an idea of how big it really it.
