A documentary about the making of Quadrophenia, the sixth studio album by the rock band the Who in 1973. Peter Townsend opens up as he revisits his experiences during the production of “last great album the Who ever made” one which was almost never made.
In the film we see what ideas made the album sound so amazing and how it followed a narrative. What one can hear on the album is somewhat a reflection of the mayhem which went on behind the scenes from managers who were addicted to heroin and an absolutely insane drummer who was constantly slamming bottles of spirit. A very revealing documentary that is a must watch for any Who fan.
