Murder on a Sunday Morning is a 2001 crime documentary about the Brenton Butler case by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade.
Brenton Butler was arrested and tried for the 2000 murder of a tourist in Jacksonville, Florida. The significant aspect of the case was that he was only 15 years old when he admitted to committing the crime, though he later claimed that he had been forced into a confession.
This documentary won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 74th Academy Awards in 2001.
