Little Dieter Needs to Fly, a 1997 biographical war documentary by World-renowned filmmaker Werner Herzog which centres around German-American Naval piolet Dieter Dengler who talks about experiences during the Vietnam war.
During his tour, Dengler was shot down by an anti-aircraft missile while flying his Skyraider above Laos in 1966 and captured by the enemy. In this documentary goes back to Thailand and revisits the places he was held a prisoner in and describes the brutal torture he endured at the hands of the Vietcong.
