A short documentary by Dena Takruri examining how one of the worlds largest companies, Nestle, is taking Michigan’s water for basically nothing and making billions in profit.
While some local residents are paying up to $200 a month in water bills, Nestle is allowed to pump 400 gallons-per-minute for a licence fee of $200 a year. All of this water is essentially a free natural resource and is being sucked out of Michigan’s local ecosystems.
