Dangerous streets, vertiginous abysses, shaky bridges – to ensure electrical power supply Nicaragua experiences one of the most spectacular heavy loads of all times. On more than 150 km across the country, over 60 bridges and through volcano landscape, diesel engines with a weight of 300 compact cars each are being transported to a power station. Under permanent supervision by engineers, the crew and the police every millimeter is being watched because already smallest deviations can have serious consequences. Carefully and highly concentrated the teams push the envelope in the tropical heat.
