The 2011 documentary First Position by American director Bess Kargman follows six budding dancers from around the world as they prepare for the Youth America Grand Prix, one of the most prestigious ballet competitions in the world.
The title 'First Position' is taken from one of the five standard placements of the feet in classical ballet.
