First Face of America, a 2018 Nova documentary film with narration by Jay O. Sanders (The Day After Tomorrow) about possibly the oldest human remains ever found in America.

 

More than 13,000-years-ago a teenage woman fell 100-foot into a cave in Mexico’s Yucatán and died. Due to rising sea levels, the cave system was cut off from the outside world until by chance her remains were discovered by a dive team in 2007.

 

This documentary follows scientists who are using advanced science to piece together who this person was and find out if she really was among the first humans to live on the continent of America. the results of the investigation may change the face of the first American, and tell the story of the first forgotten people.
