In this engineering documentary series presented by comedian Tom Wrigglesworth and Rob Bell, some of the worlds biggest and most complex machines are stripped down to reveal how they work. In the first episode, a 200-tonne jumbo jet (Boeing 747) is painstakingly taken apart to be inspected after 14 years of service at British Airways, before being reassembled.

 

In the second episode, a North Sea gas rig is lifted out of the sea and taken to Newcastle where it is taken apart ready for scrapping.

 

In the third episode, a huge North Sea Ferry is overhauled after 25 years in service, where it is stripped down overhauled and put back together ensuring it will be seaworthy for years to come.
