Bangkok Girl takes a look at the sex industry in Bangkok which predominantly comprises of "sex tourism".
Jordan Clark, the documentaries director and production is taken around the city of Bangkok by Pla, a 19-year-old bar girl who started working at the age of 13 in order to avoid being forced into prostitution. She takes him to some places which are often missed by day trippers and explains while she is happy now there is always a thought in her mind of being forced to become a prostitute.
The documentary suggests that something bad happened to Pla after filming had finished, and online people have suggested she could have died. But it seems there is absolutely no evidence to support those claims.
