For many the banna is a healthy snack on its own, a sweet part of a meal or simply a colorful fixture in the house. Bannas can only be grown in certain parts of the world known as the “banna lands” which makes for a lucrative business. While there are profits to be made the local people are often not thought about, this often leads to social upheaval, pesticide poisoning and violence.
This documentary aims to be a window in to the world of the banna lands, uncovering what is really going on. In many cases this reveals the desperate and somewhat hopeless situation people have found themselves in with no light at the end of the tunnel.
