Auschwitz: The Nazis and 'The Final Solution': The holocaust was one of the greatest crimes of the 20th century. Conducted between 1933 and 1945 it was the systematic murder of more than 6 million people most of a Jewish background orchestrated by Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party, primarily by Heinrich Himmler. It was one of the worst acts of genocide ever and consisted of murdering anyone who was not desirable to the regime including homosexuals, Slavic people, unionists, teachers, politicians and journalists in the most efficient way possible at specially built death camps.
Dubbed “The final solution”, this holocaust documentary examines how this dark event in history came to be with a focus on the most notorious death factory of all; Auschwitz, located in Poland.
