The film follows the story of the musician from Queens performance at live aid in 1985 to 1987 when Freddie was diagnosed with AIDS. This series is presented as a “docu drama” which means while the film uses much archive footage and interviews with people who were in direct contact with the star during this period such a Freddies’ body guard Terry Giddings, it is mostly a reconstruction of key events.
